From the city to the Black Sea
Anadolu Kavağı is the last village on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus, just before the strait opens into the Black Sea. Fishing boats line its little harbour, and above it stand the ruins of Yoros Castle, a medieval fortress that once guarded the entrance to the strait. A private yacht trip to Anadolu Kavağı takes you the whole length of the Bosphorus, from the palaces of the city to the green, quiet north.
On the way you pass Dolmabahçe Palace, Ortaköy, both fortresses and both bridges, then the fishing villages of Sarıyer and Rumeli Kavağı. At Anadolu Kavağı you can go ashore, stroll through the village and walk up to Yoros Castle, where the view stretches over the mouth of the Bosphorus and the Black Sea. Back on board, lunch is served, and in summer you can stop for a swim, so bring your swimsuit and towel. The trip lasts at least 6 hours, a full and unhurried day on the water.
Fresh fish is the heart of the day. We can bring a private chef on board to prepare the menu you choose, from mezes to grilled sea bass, or you can bring your own food and drinks, with a service fee of €10 per person. As a TURSAB-licensed Istanbul agency, we arrange every trip directly with our own crews. Read more about the Istanbul Bosphorus Strait.
