It is difficult to evaluate the carpets which are exhibited in the museum and which belong to the time period covering the period from the 13th century until the last century. The museum, which has 700 year old carpets, attracts great interest from local and foreign visitors.

The Carpet Museum Collection, which has one of the richest carpet collections in the world, consists of an old Islamic tradition in the Seljuk and Ottoman Era, and carpets with historical and artistic value donated to mosques, tombs and the civilizations. Carpets and kilim donations, religious or religious grants for the dead person to receive the religious donations, especially for mosques, woven carpets, elegance, aesthetics and artistic features have a particular value. The museum collection includes the most precious carpets and rugs in the various weaving centers of Anatolia from the 14th century to the 20th century and the works of the Iranian and Caucasian carpets in the museum collection. 46 carpets and prayer rugs, selected from the most precious works of the collection, are exhibited in three galleries according to the chronological order and according to the pattern groups.
