Ibrahim Pasha, a fisher boy in a small town, is an eulogy of the Ottomans brought to the palace during the expedition. With his intelligence, he rose to the rank of grand vizier in the Ottoman state.

The current function of the palace is the Museum of Turkish Islamic Art. Sultan Ahmed is located in the square.
