We'll meet you at the port where your cruise is stopping. We will take you to the top Ephesus attractions during your short waiting time.
The journey will begin with a drive to Ephesus, which will take approximately 25-30 minutes. Our tour will begin at The House of Virgin Mary, which is located 5 kilometers from Ephesus in the Aladag Mountains. Virgin Mary arrived in Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and stayed there until her death in 48 A.D. In 1892, it became a pilgrimage site after its discovery. Pope Paul VI paid a visit and prayed here on July 26, 1967. We will spend about 40 minutes here, and you will be able to leave a message on the famous wishing wall (do not forget to bring your paper).
The tour will next continue to Ephesus, one of Turkey's most important sights, where we will begin our tour from the upper gate. (Please note that Ephesus is a lengthy walk, and it is recommended that you wear comfortabşe footwear because there are steps and rough ground.)
The Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus (built in the early 2nd century A.D. by Gaius Julius Aquila as a memorial to his father Gaius Julius Celsus Polemanus, the proconsul of Province of Asia), the Temple of Hadrian, and the Grand Theatre are just a few of Ephesus' most impressive structures. The Grand Amphitheatre was established in the 3rd century B.C. and later rebuilt by the Romans in the 1st century A.D. to accommodate 24.000 spectators.
During the tour of Ephesus, there will be many opportunities to immortalize your experience, and if you're shopping for souvenirs, there will be cafes, restrooms, and plenty of gift stands near the end of the city.
The Temple of Artemis, which was once one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, will be our next visit, where we will see what remains before returning to Kusadasi town center and port.
