Breakfast is the top importance in Turkish cuisine. After breakfast in Besiktas with handmade dough pastry, bagels, pastry, jams, different types of cheeses and many more...then touring around the famous fishermen's bazaar of Beşiktaş with the daily and fresh fish of different types.
We continue our enjoyment with a rest after having a short walking tour in Taksim, Beyoğlu...heading to the historic district of Eminönü with the view of the Golden Horn and the Bosporus with traditional Turkish tea or coffee lovers can experience probably the strongest coffee in the world with the story and connection to the modern type of coffee.
Our next stop is Sultanahmet Hippodrome, about 2 hours guided tour around the Old Town so-called Sultanahmet Square. Later, heading to the district Aksaray for lunch, very local experience, and enjoyment.
Horhor is the place where the local people eat kebab, lahmacun (Turkish pizza) and köfte (meatball). Here in the restaurant, you will be able to taste anything you wish.
This section of the day can be arranged a bit flexibly. As we head back to the Old Town, we will be spending time in the Grand Bazaar for relaxing, tasting, drinking either apple tea, Turkish coffee, checking some souvenirs, carpet, delight, vintage items, etc.
When the previous part ends you will be heading to your hotel for the preparation for dinner in Güngören, the district not a touristic destination at all. This part of the tour will allow you more the local life, back streets of Istanbul where local people prefer and usually have meat dishes. Here you can taste the most popular dishes of the local people such as the famous kebabs, Arabic pan, liver shish and lamb shish. Of course, we will not leave our guests to the hotel without tasting the indispensable dessert of the local life called ‘künefe’. Say farewell and then transfer to the hotel.
